About

My name is Christana Wille McKnight.  I am a mom to two kids, wife to an awesome husband, and minister at the Norton Unitarian Church in Norton, Massachusetts.

Norton Unitarian is a pretty interesting place.

This church has been around for literally 300 years.  But over those years, the congregation has essentially died out.  The few remaining members dream that the church will one day grow and thrive again.   They have hired me as their full time minister to restart the congregation with a new mission, vision and practice, while still retaining the ideals of Unitarian Universalism.

That’s right, NEW.  This spiritual community is focused around the ideas of meaning, purpose and joy.  Our goal is to be a community that is relevant to people – a place that makes a difference.

If you are in Massachusetts or Rhode Island and would like to join us, please feel free to email me at cmcknight @ uuma . org and learn more about our venture!  If you come from across the country, but would like to know more about what we are doing in Norton or me, please also feel free to email any time, or check me out on Facebook.

  1. I would love to know more about what you are doing! Our tiny beloved congregation is struggling and disappearing before our eyes. We have a small core of committed leaders currently, but of course we are all aging and there is literally no one to take our place.

  2. Hello Christana, here is a link to my story about the church on Norton Patch. http://patch.com/A-gP4Z

  3. As a lifelong resident of Norton, I would also love to know more and would like to help to restart the rebirth of this church
